Dr. Chad Gunnlaugsson began practicing with South
Carolina ENT and Facial Plastic Surgery in 2006. He graduated with a
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the
Massachusetts Institute of Technology (M.I.T.). He then
obtained his medical degree with distinction from the
University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Dr.
Gunnlaugsson subsequently completed his general surgical
internship and otolaryngology residency training at the
University of Michigan Hospitals. Following
completion of his head and neck surgical training, he pursued an accredited
fellowship sponsored by the American Academy of Facial
Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of
Michigan. He was the recipient of the Jack Anderson
Memorial Award for obtaining the highest score on the
oral and written board examination conducted by the
American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive
Surgery. He specializes in all aspects of surgical
and non-surgical facial rejuvenation including microdermabrasion, chemical peels, BOTOX and Restylane
injections, endoscopic brow lifts, blepharoplasty (eye
lifts), facelifts and neck lifts, rhinoplasty (nasal
surgery), and laser resurfacing procedures. He has a
special interest in hair restoration procedures. Dr.
Gunnlaugsson also specializes in the repair of traumatic
deformities and facial defects following skin cancer
removal.
