Billing

You are responsible for any copayments or deductibles at the time of service, if you are covered by insurance or Medicare.

We file insurance claims as a courtesy to our patients. You will receive an Explanation of Benefits (EOB) from your insurance provider that explains what services were covered and what was paid on them. We will send you an invoice that shows what your insurance company paid, any copayments made and any balance due.

If you are paying by cash, check or credit card, the entire payment is due at the time of service. If you cannot pay the entire bill at that time, payment arrangements can be made through our billing office.

Financing is also available through Care Credit®, division of GE Money®, which offers healthcare financing for consumers through a network of over 140,000 providers.

Preparing for your visit


Make the Most of Your Appointment

Your health and your time are both important to us at South Carolina ENT, Allergy and Sleep Medicine. So that we can best serve you, please take note of these instructions:

  • Arrive at least 5 minutes prior to your appointment. This will allow plenty of time to check you in, fill out or update any necessary forms and collect your insurance or other payment information.
  • Bring your insurance card and a form of identification. Although we keep a copy of both in our files, we do require that you show your current insurance card and ID at each visit.
  • Please be prepared to pay any co-payments required by your insurance company.
  • Bring along a list of any medications you are currently taking, whether they are prescription or over-the-counter medication or herbal remedies. Please include the dosage and medication schedule for any prescription drugs.
  • Feel free to bring in a written list of symptoms you are experiencing or any questions you may have for the ENT physician who will be meeting with you. We will gladly answer your questions.
  • If you have had a CT scan, MRI, sleep study or other tests done as a result of your current medical symptoms, bring those written test results and films with you.
  • Should surgery be required, we will obtain the necessary pre-certification. Your insurance company may require a deductible or co-pay.
