Stephanie Hammond Tetterton, PA-C
is the new physician assistant here at South Carolina ENT and Facial Plastic
Surgery. A native of Loris, she graduated as Salutatorian from Green Sea
Floyd High School. She attended the University of South Carolina,
graduating Magna Cum Laude in 1999 with a degree in Biology and Chemistry.
She worked as a phlebotomist at Dorn VA Medical Center for a year before
entering the Medical University of South Carolina, from which she graduated Cum
Laude with a degree in Physician Assisting in August of 2003.
She trained with Dr. Robert Puchalski, M.D. for six months and
joined the practice in 2003. Physician Assistants are health care
professionals licensed to practice with physician supervision. She can
conduct physical exams, diagnose and treat illnesses, order and interpret tests,
counsel on preventive health care, assist in surgery and write prescriptions.
She is a member of the Society of Physician Assistants in Otorhinolaryngology
and Head and Neck Surgery, Society of Physician Assistants in Family Practice,
American Society of Physician Assistants and South Carolina Academy of Physician
Assistants.
