Dr. Robert Puchalski Elected to Serve as President of the American Academy of Otolaryngic Allergy (AAOA).

Robert Puchalski, MD, FAAOA, elected to serve as President of the American Academy of Otolaryngic Allergy (AAOA). Serving as President-Elect for the 2025-2026 leadership year, Dr. Puchalski will assume the role of President in September 2026. “It is an honor to serve as AAOA President after completing my term as Treasurer. I pursued this position because I feel I can make a positive impact in this organization and our specialty.”

Dr. Puchalski brings is private practice experience to the AAOA’s leadership. Married to a pediatric emergency medicine physician, Dr. Puchalski and his family live in Charlotte, North Carolina. Puchalski cites, “I have been an active member of the AAOA since joining as a resident member over two decades ago. Throughout this time, I have served in various capacities for the organization including participating in a task force to create practice guidelines and administering the Fellowship exam. I have also served on the Board of the AAOA as a Member at Large and also as the Chair of the Socioeconomic Committee. I have represented the AAO-HNS as a Delegate to the AMA for 15 years and served as the chairman of both the delegation and the otolaryngology Section Council. I am grateful for these opportunities and feel privileged to be part of such a successful organization. With your support, I would like to advance the interests of the AAOA to the best of my ability. I pledge that I will dedicate the time and energy necessary to represent the interests of our members and the patients that we serve.


The AAOA, one of the largest societies within all of the Ear Nose & Throat space representing 2,700 physicians & healthcare providers, works to advance the comprehensive management of allergy and inflammatory disease in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery through training, education, and advocacy.
