At SCENT, we use the latest technology to offer you a fast and accurate diagnosis.

What is a CT scan and how does it work?

A CT scan, sometimes called a CAT scan, uses a special X-ray machine and computer technology to take multiple images for a detailed or “layered” look at the sinuses.

Unlike traditional CT scanners, our scanner is specifically designed to take images only of the sinuses and temporal bones. Focusing on these areas allows us to deliver a superior image without using a full-body scanner.

What this means to you.

The most noticeable difference with our scanner is that patients sit upright and aren’t confined to a full-body tube. For those who suffer from claustrophobia, this greatly minimizes that feeling and provides additional comfort.

The procedure is also fast, painless and can be performed in-office in under a minute. What’s more, our scanner provides a significantly lower dose of radiation than sinus and ear scans taken on full-body scanners in the hospital.

Together all of this means a faster, more accurate diagnosis for you.

Convenient Locations

SCENT offers CT scanning at four convenient locations. That means you don’t have to go to another facility for tests or wait for a diagnosis.
